Special Events Calender
Each year, Mission San Antonio plays host to three very special events, our Spaghetti Dinner, Annual Fiesta and the Evening in the Garden.
Mission San Antonio’s annual Spaghetti Dinner is a major fundraiser for the Mission. Beginning at 12:00 noon Following an 11am Mass, and running until 4:00 pm (Sunday January 27, 2008), you’ll find Italian ambiance takes over our Refectory as our volunteers cook up tempting pasta dinners with all the trimmings, including salad and garlic bread. A fine selection of Paso Robles and Monterey county wines is available for purchase, along with coffee, tea and soft drinks. All at reasonable, family-friendly prices!
Our annual Fiesta (Sunday June 8, 2008) is a fun filled day for all beginning with our special Fiesta Mass at 9:00 am followed by a traditional oak-fired barbeque offering your choice of half-chicken or tri-tip beef dinners. Dance to music provided by local bluegrass, Christian rock and Mariachi bands. Buy a homemade dessert, enjoy a glass of beer or wine, visit with local artisans whose wares will be on display and join in the fun of kid’s games. This is a real community-oriented family event that’s not to be missed!
Each autumn, the Evening in the Garden (Saturday November 1, 2008 from 4pm to 8pm) provides an enchanting opportunity to sample local wines from many outstanding wineries, while munching upon a selection of specially catered gourmet food delights, all amid the ambiance of our Padres’ Garden. The trees twinkle with white lights, candles line the walkways and strolling musicians entertain with their soothing but unobtrusive strains of mission-period and classical music. Cost is $35 per person. |
