Weddings

A more romantic setting for your wedding would be   difficult to imagine than at the Mission San Antonio de   Padua. In fact, the first Catholic wedding to take place in   California occurred here in 1773 between a Salinan   Indian woman named Margaretta de Cortona and   Spanish solider Juan Maria Ruiz.

This tradition continues today. Imagine yourself at the   mission-period altar with your betrothed, the interior   ablaze in candlelight. After the matrimonial Mass, you   and your party can take pictures or hold your reception   in the fully-restored peristyle garden with its flowing   fountain surrounded by roses in full bloom and fruit trees   in blossom.

Our wedding coordinator will be happy to assist you in   planning your very special day, including catering your   reception, which is available upon request. For   additional information, please contact the Mission at   831-385-4478.
